Chromosome comparison
Select a chromosome bar to view its genes.
Bar heights follow GRCh38 lengths. Centromere pinches are approximate schematic proportions, not locus coordinates or cytogenetic bands. MT is circular, has no centromere, and is drawn at a 2 px minimum for visibility. GRCh38 reference assembly.

Sorted gene strip
Each cell is one gene. The catalog has no genomic coordinates: this strip shows the chosen sort order, not physical gene positions.
Use arrow keys to move between cells; Enter opens the gene. Hover or focus a cell to read its symbol.

About these measurements
Absence means no match in this catalog; it does not prove biological absence. Mean conservation is the mean number of species carrying each gene divided by all cataloged species. Strong and weak percentages use all cataloged genes on the selected chromosome as their denominator. Density uses the catalog gene count and rounded GRCh38 chromosome length, including noncoding sequence.
Expression reports the catalog's organ annotations and the gene's single peak tissue, peak TPM, and Tau. It does not contain per-organ TPM measurements. Gene family and GO counts overlap. Three genes without chromosome assignments are retained under Unplaced.
